If you missed the biggest film of the year in theaters, the Spider-Man Brand New Day streaming date has already passed, with a catch. The film is available to buy or rent, but it isn’t on any subscription service yet. Here’s where to watch it, what’s coming next, and whether to rent or wait.
The short answer: The film became available to buy or rent digitally on Tuesday, October 6, at 12 a.m. ET. That is the premium digital release, not a subscription streaming debut. No Netflix date has been announced.

Where to watch Spider-Man Brand New Day at home
Sony confirms four retailers: Apple TV, Prime Video, Fandango at Home and Sony Pictures Core. Other stores may carry it too.
In the US, Prime Video lists the UHD rental at $24.99 and the UHD purchase at $29.99, with extras included in the purchase. Apple TV is about the same, at around $25 to rent and $29 to buy. This is an early-release premium price that is expected to drop later.
- Rental terms: Apple’s standard rule is 30 days to start watching and 48 hours to finish once you press play.
- Bonus content: Prime Video lists 11 bonus items with the purchase.
- Picture and sound: The film is available in 4K HDR and Dolby Atmos.
Prices elsewhere differ by store, region, and tax.
Is Spider-Man Brand New Day on Netflix?
Not yet. Sony has a “Pay 1” deal that makes Netflix the first streaming home for its films, but no formal date has been announced. Reports differ on how far the deal reaches: some describe it as worldwide, others as US-only. In the UK and Australia, earlier Spider-Man films streamed on Sky, Prime Video, Stan and Binge.
Timing is unclear. One report says not to expect a subscription release until sometime in 2027. Another says Disney+ is expected to get it next year. Neither is confirmed.
Spider-Man Brand New Day streaming date outside the US
Store listings depend on the account’s country, so the date and price may not match what US sites show. Sony Pictures Core, for example, shows a different version of the film in some regions.
If a streaming service shows a blocked-stream error while you use a VPN, see our guide to fixing aVPN connected but streaming blocked. Note that digital stores usually tie purchases to your account’s country and payment method, so a VPN may not help with buying or renting and may break the store’s terms. Check your local laws before using one.
Should you rent, buy or wait?
- Rent now if you just want to see it. You’ll watch it months before any subscription release.
- Buy if you rewatch films. The premium price should drop later, so waiting a few weeks may save money.
- Wait for the discs on December 15 if you want the 4K edition with its extras.
- Wait for Netflix only if you’re fine without a confirmed date.
Is there an extended version?
Possibly. There is talk of a re-release with additional footage, but no date. One outlet says that, if Sony follows the pattern of the previous Spider-Man film, it might not arrive until the middle of 2027. The same report notes the home releases include no deleted scenes. If you want the fuller cut, it may be worth waiting for confirmation.
